What's Happening at Holy Redeemer Parish
CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES THANKS THE PEOPLE OF OUR DIOCESE FOR TYPHOON HAIYAN SUPPORT
The Chairman of the Catholic Relief Services Board, Archbishop Paul S. Coakley of Oklahoma City, recently returned from the Philippines. He sent me a letter thanking the people of the Diocese of Grand Rapids for supporting our brothers and sisters who were impacted by Typhoon Haiyan. Archbishop Coakley asked me to share the link to a 2-minute ‘thank you' video from CRS: http://emergencies.crs.org/philippines-typhoon-recovery-thank-you/. The Diocese raised more than $224,000 to help CRS carry out their mission after this disaster. The reference video does a great job of visualizing how that money was used. I thank you for your loving and caring hearts.
Sincerely Yours in the Lord,
Bishop David J. Walkowiak

Many times in the past CROSSROADS offered six consecutive sessions on Basic Catholicism...it was a great success! However, we received feedback that many additional people would have liked to take part, but could not commit to consecutive weeks...we listened! We will offer the topics of Basic Catholicism, but broken up over the course of the year...we are excited about additional people growing in their knowledge and faith.
