Infant Baptism

Parents are requested to make arrangements and participate in baptismal preparation prior to the third trimester. The family is required to be registered and practicing members for six months prior to the celebration of Baptism.

Baptism is the best gift we have received. Through it, we belong to God and we possess the joy of salvation.

Eucharist

The sacrament of First Communion is typically celebrated for the first time in the second grade. Classroom preparation is supplemented with family gatherings. These gatherings will provide opportunities throughout the year for the children, their families, and catechists to journey together as they prepare for a lifetime of being nourished at the table of the Lord.

The Eucharist is the bread that gives strength… Is is at once the most eloquent proof of His love and the most powerful means of fostering His love in us.

Confirmation

Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a two-year process.  Over the course of two years, Junior High youth have an opportunity to pray together and discuss matters of the faith in Christ-centered small groups.  The Sacrament of Confirmation may be celebrated when a candidate is in the eighth grade or older. As our young people continue the initiation process we help them to understand that Confirmation is the completion of Baptism. The Sacrament of Confirmation completes our welcome into the Church, seals the Holy Spirit received at Baptism, and strengthens us on our journey of faith.

For I know well the plans I have in mind for you – oracle of the Lord – places for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.
